Ashleigh M. Barnhart-Burto is the principal of Louisburg Elementary School, where she is dedicated to fostering a warm, inclusive, and academically rich environment for all students. Known for her collaborative leadership style and clear, compassionate communication, Mrs. Barnhart-Burto prioritizes building strong relationships with staff, students, and families.

Throughout her career, she has championed high-quality instruction, consistent routines, and a positive school culture grounded in kindness, respect, and student growth. Mrs. Barnhart-Burto brings a wealth of experience from previous districts, where she led with a focus on systems that support both teaching and learning.

At Louisburg Elementary, she remains committed to ensuring every student feels welcomed, supported, and inspired each day. She believes deeply in the power of community and works hand-in-hand with educators and families to help each Mustang thrive.

Wanda Keith is the assistant principal of Louisburg Elementary School. She has been in education for 30 years with Franklin County Schools. During this time she served as a first grade teacher, reading coach, and an assistant principal. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University and a Master’s degree in School Administration from North Carolina State University.
