"Hello, everyone! My name is Paris Copeland-Perry, I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing school community. I want to start by sharing with you my passion and enthusiasm for teaching. I believe that education is not just a job but a calling, and I'm genuinely excited to be in the classroom every day, helping our students grow and learn. I am a wife and a mother of three beautiful girls. I have 10+ yeares of experience in the preschool setting and 6 years in Elementary education. In my 16 years of teaching experience, I've had the privilege of working with diverse groups of students and collaborating with dedicated educators like all of you. I truly believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and my goal is to inspire and empower them to reach their full potential.

Mr. Joseph Ivey is excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Youngsville Elementary. He is a graduate of Ashford University where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2019. He comes with over 28 years of experience working with kids. He worked as an Instructional Assistant with Durham Public Schools for 23 years. He also served as a Behavior Specialist for 2 of those years in Durham Public Schools. Mr. Ivey has been with Franklin County Schools for over 5 years, where he worked at Louisburg Elementary School for 5 of those years. This is his first year teaching 2nd grade at Youngsville Elementary School. Mr. Ivey is married to his wife Morella, who is a Kindergarten teacher at Youngsville Elementary. Together they have 4 boys and 1 Shih Tzu named Minnie who is very spoiled. In his spare time he enjoys singing, cooking, and taking nature walks. Mr. Ivey is looking forward to a great year here at Youngsville Elementary School. His motto is “No Child Left Behind”.

Davida Patrick is a 2nd grade teacher here at LES. This is her first year teaching for Franklin County. She previously worked for Durham Public schools as an instructional assistant for three years and filled in as a substitute teacher for over 10 years. She graduated from NCCU in 2007 with a bachelors degree in sociology. She loves spending time with her two children, David and LaKinzi. They enjoy fishing, shopping, reading and DANCING! Davida is really looking forward to a fun and successful school year.
